Sunday Cruise In recap

Even with threatening skies the crowd of cars filled the parking lot of Fourth and Sea today. A small group of Corvettes including a late showing of a ZR1 was enough to keep the vette fans happy. The original 1964 Sting Ray was a pure pleasure for any car fan to see.

With Petaluma having an art fair today many of the streets were closed off to traffic, so foot traffic was a bit heavier than last months event. Petaluma Pete (a local fixture) was on hand to award the top prize to a sweet looking Mercury from San Francisco.

There was plenty of extra nice classics on hand today from the old supercharged Dodge to a couple of very clean early Mustangs, along with some others.

We had four vettes in total on hand today, a C2, C3, C4 and C6.

The only downside to today's event was running out of time to eat. Ann was generous enough to allow me the use of their ladder to get some bird eye view shots of the event.

We will be supplying Fourth and Sea with plenty of pics from today and will add some shots to our website. Mark your calendars for the last Sunday Cruise In of the year October 30th. Our goal is to get at least 10 Corvettes.

Also beginning on Oct 11th and the second Tuesday of each month @6pm we will gathering for the official Pacific Empire Corvettes cruise in at Fourth and Sea Restaurant. All Corvettes are welcome to come out and join us for some great food and ice cream.

Sunday Cruise In

We are fast making plans for the upcoming Sunday Cruise In being held at Fourth and Sea in Petaluma on Sunday Sept 25th.

This month, we are hoping for 10 vettes in attendance. While the event is from noon till four pm, the parking lot fills up really fast. I highly suggest getting there by 11:30am.

We are not permitted to save spaces, so if you would like to attend and have your vette parked with the others, please get there early.

While the cruise in is mainly for classic autos, any year Corvette is welcome.

The Poker Run

We have finished our first poker run today, and it was a pure joy. When we set out to form Pacific Empire Corvettes, this was exactly what we were hoping for.

Today we covered four generations of vettes, C3, C4, C5 and C6.

We began at Victory Chevrolet in Petaluma and spent some time looking over the new Grand Sport.

From there we headed up Petaluma Hill Rd to Santa Rosa stopping at Johnny Garlics. The next stop was in Glen Ellen where we enjoyed some chocolate. A few pics later and we were heading toward Corner Stone Gardens in Sonoma.

Corner Stone is an amazing place with beautiful gardens, tons of shops with art filling most of them. We could have spent hours wandering around, but it was nearing lunch time so we headed to Fourth and Sea in Petaluma.

Pam won the poker run with two pair, 3's and Kings.

All in all, we had a great time today. The weather was in the upper 70's and sunny as far as the eye could see. The tops were down or out and the music loud (well, at least in my vette in was).

After a great lunch we parted ways looking forward to our next get together. A few pics will be uploaded to the website this week.

Thanks to all that attended and thanks to the wonderful businesses who supported our run today.
